This 1975 Firebird Trans Am was purchased by Chris Williams in 1993. The engine powering his car was won from Hot Rod magazine's "Win your dream engine sweepstakes." The engine is a stroked 400 displacing 463 cubic inches and has powered the TA down the strip in 11.50 seconds at 116 mph. A former California car, wood falling from a landscaping truck damaged the passenger side of the TA. As a result, it's being repainted 1993 Performance Red. (not the color in the photo). The TA is driven hard "used and abused daily, weather permitting" according to Chris and he plans to drive it in the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2009. He's done it before, 4 times partial, 2 times long haul. "
Aside from the Alston roll cage seen above, it has a Chevy 12-bolt rear with 3.73 gears, a Hotchkiss TVS 2" drop with Moog heavy duty front end pieces. Interior is stock white seats and door panels with a black carpet and dash.
